Pitiatoqs Wisdom

Frozen Hearts

All our departed, hated and beloved ones, you will find under the ice. Don’t follow them into the icy cold.
— Pitiatoqs Wisdom

When the wind is howling, when the sky is falling,

You might catch a glimpse of me,

Below your world so bright.

You find me underneath the sea,

On days as white as snow,

My skin so pale, my eyes awake,

My heart forever frozen.

When the wind is howling, when the sky is falling,

On days as white as snow,

I yearn for you, thy beating heart,

Thy cheeks all flushed and red,

I shiver in the darkness cold,

Inside my icy bed.

But on these days as white as snow

Don’t look at me too long,

For I might lead you with my stare,

Down to my winter home,

And all eternity we’ll share,

Your skin now pale, your eyes awake,

Your heart forever frozen.
